Just when Britney Spears’ fans thought they could wear their love for her on their sleeve… as she would make a glorious chart topper comeback… they get disappointed as her comeback has gotten postponed to 2008.
Leslie Sloane, the rep for Britney Spears, gave an interview to Life & Style magazine where she said the new album from Britney Spears will no longer come out in 2007 as planned. Sloane told the magazine, “I put her on hiatus. Brit’s album is pushed until ‘08. If she has no album, there’s no reason to do anything…Let’s go on hiatus until we have a campaign to do.” With that news, the comeback of the troubled mother-of-two has been put on hold, and no solid plans have materialized for when the record might drop.
The news of Britney Spears’ hiatus took her record label, Jive, by surprise. Executives as Jive Records are worried that the comeback album may be a complete disaster, as nothing has been settled upon and no agreement is in place. A source told Life & Style that, “I’m surprised the album wasn’t pushed back to 2009. Everything’s up in the air with the album right now. Jive hated the songs Britney was coming up with, except for a few. The executives are not happy. And she didn’t want to listen to anyone. Everything was a problem for her. They wanted her to work with certain people, and she wanted the opposite.”
Unfortunately by then all the hype, curiosity and mystery around her image would have died down……… and that wont get her album to fare really well at the charts…… the other side of the coin would be…. we would have to put up with her antics till 2008……. so that her album does well.
